WATERWAYS WATCH SOCIETY (WWS)
Introducing WWS, an organisation all about promoting awareness and advocating preservation of Singapore’s waters and environment. They aim to educate others on their responsibility in safekeeping Singapore’s environment through their lifestyle choices. This is all done with their extensive volunteering network which YOU could be involved in too!
PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM WWS
We would like to introduce ourselves as the Waterways Watch Society (WWS).
We are a non-profit and non-governmental organization with a mission and goal to help bring more awareness to our community on the value of water and the importance of sustainable good social behaviour. For the past 20 years, we have been offering values-in-action (VIA) programs for schools and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs for corporates on the Water Story of Singapore and the Challenges Facing Singapore in Cleanliness and Safe Public Health.
Our mission and objective is to educate and share with all members of the public to be more responsible and take more personal ownership to achieve a sustainable environment for everyone. Proper use and respect of our drinking water, recycling and understanding the need to work towards zero waste is something we all have to understand and work towards, together.
Our programmes not only aim to bring more awareness for our water and environment, but we also focus on being socially responsible. As a strong advocate of social responsibility, we are reaching out to schools and corporates to help to educate everyone, especially the next generation, benefactors of our society, to join us in our fight against litter and pollution of our waterways and to be a joint guardian of our country's water resources. You may refer to our website for more information.
